Delete your Cupido account

From the Cupido app

1. Sign in to the account you want to delete and open Settings (Impostazioni).
2. Select Delete account (Elimina account) and read the consequences for all linked roles.
3. Verify your identity again using the account’s sign-in method.
4. Confirm Request deletion (Richiedi eliminazione). The request is permanent and cannot be cancelled.

Without accessing the app

You can request deletion even if you have uninstalled Cupido or cannot sign in. Email info@kuama.it, preferably from the address linked to your account, with the subject “Cupido — account deletion”. State that you want to delete your account and include the email address used to register it. We will verify account ownership before proceeding and reply by email. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or identity documents unless specifically requested.

What data is deleted

Deletion covers all roles on your account, access credentials, your personal profile, associated photos and media, relationships, invitations and other linked operational data, subject to the exceptions below.

An in-app request immediately blocks the account. Your Matches are closed and their chats become inaccessible to both participants; deletion also removes the other participant’s messages and attachments in those conversations.

If you are a Cupido, the Single accounts you manage are not deleted. Their link to you ends and their profiles cannot be proposed until a new Cupido takes over; their Matches and chats remain.

Timing and exceptions

Operational data and media are deleted within 7 days of a valid request. For email requests, account ownership must first be verified. Backups may retain copies for up to 30 days; deletions must be reapplied before a restored service is reopened.

Minimal consent evidence is retained separately for 5 years after the covered processing phase ends; evidence of acceptance of the terms is retained for 10 years after the contractual relationship ends. This evidence excludes photos, biographies and chats and is not used to reactivate accounts.

Ordinary logs are retained for 14 days; reports are retained until resolution and for 6 months afterwards. Only evidence necessary for disputes, proceedings or applicable obligations may be retained longer, with a specific justification and review at least every six months.

We cannot recall copies already downloaded by other people or notifications already delivered. Uninstalling the app, signing out or closing a Match does not delete your account.
